Change instrument
In a piece of music I am writing, I want to change the instrument part way through. I know this is possible, as there is an option to do so, and I have done it before. The only problem is that I am using a custom soundfont and want to use a different sound.
In my soundfont, for some reason, the default sound is the accordion. It just is. Not a problem, usually. However, in the piece of music, I have a French Horn. Part way through, I want to change the French Horn to Brass, but when I do, no new channel appears in the mixer for me to change it from the default accordion. Is there any way to fix this? I looked on the help page, and it says a new track should appear in the mixer, but it doesn't.

If nothing has changed with V3 you can install more than one soundfont

Much has, but not this ;-)
When you do an instrument change, the arrow on the original instrument becomes a little darker, it's a bit difficult to see. Click the arrow, and all the channels on that instruments staff will be revealed. It will tell you at the bottom which instrument you are looking at so you can easily select the correct instrument. Once you do that, you can change the sound as normal.
