No sound output on speakers or headphones. It had been working OK since installation a few weeks ago. Sound system OK for other purposes (e.g. YouTube). The cursor is moving along the line as normal.
Thanks, Jojo. OS is Windows 10. I have taken your advice and followed the pathway Edit > Preferences > I/O. With a bit of toggling between options, I have now managed to get the sound output back. It seems to me that the latest version of the software (MuseScore 3) gets confused when you plug in or unplug headphones, a problem that never occurred with Version 2. Also, without this helpful tip, it would not have occurred to me that the solution was to be found under Edit.
