A few issues with Version 3.0.5.21343 on a Mac

First of all I'd like to sincerely thank everyone who has worked on and developed MuseScore. You guys and girls are legends in my book. :-)

Here are the issues I'm experiencing.

1 - When I start up MuseScore the "Check for Updates Automatically?" box shows up and can't be closed, not matter what I do.
I've even unchecked the box for "Check for new version of MuseScore" in preferences.
The box still opens up 1st and can't be shut down.

2 - Whenever I shut down the program the "MuseScore quit unexpectedly" box displays every time.

3 - MuseScore sometimes crashes just as its about to load the 1st page. Other times it loads up.

Version 3 opens up very quickly. Uses 185.4 MB of memory
Version 2 opens up very slowly but is stable. Uses 2.29GB of memory
