It is usually better to ask for help in the Support than using this issue tracker, which is meant for confirmed bugs.
Since your play button is not greyed out, it suggests your synthesizer is present, but perhaps you have no soundfont loaded? What do you see in View / Synthesizer? Can you try Help / Revert to Factory Settings?
