As illustrated in the attached 5 measures: in measure 87, a 4/4 measure with two voices writes only seven 8th note values in Voice 2, so that Voice 1 and Voice 2 do not play correctly together.
My workaround is to exchange the roles of Voice 1 and Voice 2, as illustrated in measure 90.

What has happened somehow is that the 8th rest after the first dotted quarter note was deleted. I figured this out by extending each of the voice 2 notes by 1/2 a beat to see which one filled the hole.

MuseScore allows this, though as you can see in this case it is not always advisable because it becomes difficult to determine where the rest belongs.

To reinsert the rest where it belongs, select the first note and press 6 to turn it into a half note, then press 5. (yes press the . ) to turn it back into a dotted 1/4 note and leave the rest that belongs there. You will then be ready to finish fixing the measure.

Thanks, Mike. I do remember deleting a rest and being somewhat surprised that it went away. I was able to reproduce your proposed fix (extending, then restoring the note value, then moving the eighth note and the dotted quarter chord each back by an eighth note.
