Instrument Change Text Causes Improper MIDI

The presence of the Instrument Change text in measure two causes strange and improper midi to be exported affecting even the first measure. While the piece only has ten notes, the exported midi has the ten note-on events but eleven note-off events. In the text file, event te12 is an extra note off. The structure of the midi file seems overly complex and the ordering/timing of various events is strange. If the text is changed from "Instrument Change Text" to simple "Staff Text" the exported midi file is greatly simplified and, most importantly, proper with matching none-on/note-off pairs.
