Win 7 /10. 3.2.3 (official)

(Note: #292003: Extra treble clefs have appeared in imported 2.3.2 file has already been reported).

  1. Open the attached file and reset. Then save and reload (to fix a layout problem—see #292028: System header distance too to small if extra clef present in file but hidden due to staff property).
  2. Now compare the layout on page 1 to that in MS 2.3.2.
Expectd result: Should be the same, more or less.
Actual result: Both the system header clef-to-note distances and the Key-signature-to-note distances are significantly larger than in 2.x.

The default setting for this distance has changed from 1.75 sp to 2.50 sp, to be more in keeping with modern engraving standards. While we could have allowed 2.x scores to continue to have sub-optimal layout, we generally try to improve things where we can, and this was one example.

If you prefer tighter spacing, you can always reduce the system header distance, but it isn't recommended to go below 2 sp.
