  1. Open the attached file and go to measure 17 (or 89, 105, 153).
  2. Select Format > Style > Measure and adjust the "Clef to time signature distance".

For some reason the property is not working at all on this file.

It's because of the C major key signature, you really would need to adjust the distance to or from it. We could some day consider detecting that and using the clef to time signature distance directly.
