When I try to export a .mscz file into a PDF file I get some weird characters.
I believe is a Qt codification bug (Qt 5.9.8) since my old file (Qt 5.4.2) are opened and they appear correct.
There is a patch to fixed this issue? (Mac OS Mojave 10.14.5)
Thanks in advance for your help.

I have the exact same issue.
I'm on Mac OS High Sierra 10.13.4. Running Musescore 3.2.3.22971 with Qt 5.9.8 as well.
Have yet to found a workaround. Even using the screenshot mode to .pdf gives identical results. Exporting to a .png works, though it's not optimal.
See #279563: [MacOS X] Export Pdf with Muse Jazz Text all garbled and unreadable if no printers are setup on a machine
(So the workaround seems to be to setup a (default) printer? Or to not use MuseJazz)
