Open the attached file, which has several examples of LH Guitar fingering placed too near to the preceding barline. The cause seems to be an accidental in each case.
Similar to #292293: LH Guitar Fingering creates too much space before itself, when directly after a barline?

Indeed, if an accidental is present, we use the barline to accidental distance style setting rather than note left margin. To me, though, maybe that makes sense any time time there is a fingering present - that is, I think the fingerings are too far from the barline otherwise. Why should accidentals be allowed to use that space but not fingerings? Which is the issue as described in #292293: LH Guitar Fingering creates too much space before itself, when directly after a barline. So I'm closing this as a duplicate. Basically, accidentals shouldn't affect distance with fingering, but it's still an open question as to what the appropriate distance is with fingering. I suggest getting consensus on forum.
