How to assign treble and bass clefs to separate mid channels

• Aug 10, 2019 - 17:16

I have downloaded a template with the treble and bass staves assigned to different midi channels which means that they can be switched on or off independently for playback. I would like to be able to set this up from scratch for any new composition. Does anyone know how to do this in Musescore 3.2.3?
Thanks.

Thank you very much Shoichi for taking the trouble to answer my question so quickly and so precisely. I have now adapted my score to have two instruments, both pianos, one assigned to the Treble staff and one to the Bass staff. I can now listen to either the Treble or the Bass line separately which is exactly what I wanted to do. I also have the knowledge to be able to go back and adapt my previous scores.

If you have a template, why not just use it? This is the whole point of templates - so you can choose them from the template list when creating a new score from scratch and you'll get a new one set up the same way. Just be sure your template is saved in your Templates folder so it's available to select when you create a new score.
