Musescore won't open any of my working scores, or allow me to begin a new score

1) Run MuseScore software.
2) Select score to open when dialog box opens showing multiple files.
3) Dialog box closes, and no windows open up showing the score. There is no MuseScore window open from what I can see, yet the task bar and task manager show musescore running.

That score opens just fine here, Windows 10, MuseScore 3.2.3. What OS, what exact version of MuseScore, have you tried reverting to factory settings?
The score has been last saved using MuseScore 3.0.5 and got created on Windows and only a few days ago, in September 4th, as far as I can tell. This indicatates that you really should update to 3.2.3.
