MS 3.2.3.

  1. Create a measure with two voices, like this:
    adjustment.png
  2. Select the rest and use the left arrow key to move it backwards.
Expected result: AP engages to maintain the same distance from the barline.
Actual result: The rest behaves as if autoplacement were off. The score only updates after a re-layout.

Title Autoplacement doesn't engage when adjusting a rest after a barline with the left arrow key Rests can be moved to the left of the barline

Autoplace has nothing to do with this, but it is true that the basic layout does currently appear to allow you to move a rest across a barline. It's worth considering whether maybe it should allow rests (and notes) to cross barlines, but if it should, then the fact that it doesn't survive relayout would be a major bug.
