Works for me, MuseScore 3.3.2, Windows 7
Double-clicking is the easier method BTW.

Musescore 3.3.2
Windows 10
I am referring to the possibility (previously working in old Musescore 2.3.2) to use this palette to insert (drag) a symbol in the score (not necessarely in the editing text box).
Double clicking insert the symbol in the text box.
Instead, by dragging, the symbol looks to be put in score at first, but after closing the palette and clicking anywhere, it disappears…
Look at the small video…
You're not adding that symbol to the text you selected, so you're missing the F2 palette.
What you're trying to do there needs to get done via the Symbols palette that is part of the master palette.
The bug though is, that this seems to be allowed where it rather should not.
And it worked this way in rev 2.3.2...
Then this was a bug there I think, fixed in 3.x (but only partly). The F2 special charater dialog is for adding spectial characters to the text your editing, not to arbitrary other places outside that text
New title. It's a bit wordy, but conveys the problem. The workaround is to use the master palette (shift+F9 or Z) instead.
