The elements on my MuseScore program is way too big
Theres no way to change the size, not that i see one
This happens only in MuseScore on Ubuntu 18.04, I couldn't replicate the issue on a Windows machine

This happens if for whatever reason (usually a non-standard display configuration) MuseScore cannot detect your monitor resolution correctly. Soution is simple, just give the "-D xxx" command line option, where xxx is the resolution in DPI.

Note also you appear to be using an extremely old version of MuseScore, it's possible it will will work better for you if you update to a more recent version (eg, the current AppImage for Linux, which is always up to date, the Linux distributions themselves are almost always way behind).
