Mixer in plugin not working?

• Jan 15, 2020 - 18:21

Hi,

The plugin says:
"The mixer is only available for the synthesizer. Enable synth"
When I enable Synthesizer or select Synthesizer as Adio Source nothing happens. All voices remain grayed out, and no sound is playing.

Browser: tested with latest Chrome and Firefox.
System: Windows 10, fully up to date.

PS: It worked before.

Thanks for fixing this.

KR, Thomas

Hi Shoichi,

Our choir has 65 members, most are not tech-savvy at all (that's why they sing in a choir and don't sit behind a computer-screen ;-). They are able to visit our website where I provided login, made a dropdown so that they can select a score which they want to practice, and then the score shows up, embedded on our website.
It was already quite a challenge to explain them that they have to click the mixer-icon in the plugin, then select synthesizer, and then mute all other voices so that they can practice only their own voice.
Having them downloading the software and then downloading the scores is too much for many of them. So this is not really an option. The plugin should work. We used Sibelius Scorch before and this was never a problem.
Actually, I would like to instruct the plugin (via embedding code) to startup in syntheziser mode right away, and to start with a certain voice. This would make it even easier for the members of our choir: no selection needed at all. Maybe the plugin-guys read this post and can do something about it.

Kind regards, Thomas

Maybe the plugin-guys read this post and can do something about it I hope so, but it'll have to be the guys from the other site. Maybe you've already discarded a possible alternative: Upload the score on .com and send a secret link (https://musescore.com/groups/improving-musescore-com/discuss/5045622 ) to the choristers.
Edit: or export the individual Parts as mp3s that they can listen to to review.
