How to Suppress Audio Output Only Generating MIDI Output
How can I suppress MuseScore audio output. I only want MIDI output to be directed through an internal MIDI loop to a virtual pipe organ (VPO Houptwerk).

Go to View / Synthesizer and either delete the installed soundfont or turn the synthesizer volume all the way down (I don't think that will affect MIDI out).

Might as well completely stop the synthesizer from synthesizing (instead of just turning it down) in case it makes a difference in terms of performance or latency.
