The barbershop template that comes with MuseScore is for men's barbershop. Women also sing barbershop harmony, and women's barbershop uses different clefs. Women's barbershop uses regular treble clef and the "octave up" bass clef. It would be very helpful for arrangers of barbershop harmony (I'm one) to have pre-designed clefs for both men's and women's barbershop. A user in the Forums kindly sent me the attached, which I've added to my Custom Templates. It would be great if a file like this, with correct clefs and transposition, could become part of the next version as a pre-installed template.

PR almost ready, just need some clarification about the ranges.

Still unsure about the numbering, it'd be more logical to name this 09-Barbershop_Quartet_(Women).mscx and shift the following up by one, but I'm not sure how that works with an update, whether that removes the old templates or would create duplicates

Fixed in branch master, commit f6fb8c1a86

_fix #301786: Add Barbershop template for women

and shortened the men's version (too) by 6 measures for them to fit
one
page (like the other templates), for their thumbnails to include
the
final barline_
