Musescore refund

• Mar 21, 2020 - 19:06

Like a good amount of people have asked on this forum, I was looking for a refund after seeing I had been charged for the yearly subscription after a free trial. I wrote down the ending date in my planner as today, after checking my profile some days after signing up, so was going to cancel today. But, I had been charged, and am contacting support. Many other people who have been in my situation have posted and received refunds, but my experience has been different. They are offering me a different plan instead of the refund even though the subscription just began (at 4 am this morning, my time). I was asked to decide between a 50% refund or 10 additional months of Pro, and that my Pro access would stay active. I wrote specifically, "please cancel my subscription and payment".

I will see what happens, but I wanted to put this out here since many people have asked about this. Has anyone in 2020 been able to receive a refund?

Did you get an answer back?

I've run into the same issue today except they're offering me only 40% (and saying it like they're being generous about it) which is completely in contrast to their actual refund policy explicitly stated on the refund page that says that if you cancel within the first 14 days of a subscription term, they will refund you the difference between what you paid and the current monthly subscription - which seems far more fair.

I sent back a response but am waiting for a reply...

ETA: Got my refund as per the policy, hoping you did too!
