OS: Windows 10 (10.0), Arch.: x86_64, MuseScore version (64-bit): 3.4.2.9788, revision: 148e43f

  1. Open any old score with a title frame, at default scaling (for example).
  2. Press the "Image capture" button and enclose a measure (for example). Right-click on the selection, chose "Save as Print mode" (for example), and save as a PNG (for example).
  3. Now add the saved image to the title frame.

Expected result: The same size as the original snapshot?
Actual result: the image is very small and needs to be rescaled.

The default size of an image would depend on the DPI settings of that image (i.e. used when saving it). The default DPI settings recently got changed to cater for this, IIRC to 200 DPI
(edit: actually it got set from 300 to 5 * 72 = 360)

Which means you have to export at the default setting of 360dpi to get a 1:1 imported image. That explains it—the image resolution was only set to 100dpi. Close as "By design"?
