exploding chords
I am trying to arrange a song with large chords, and I am wondering if you can change the way that the chords are exploded. I did that with a violins, cellos, etc., and it put extremely high notes in the cello part and extremely low notes in the flute part.

You think that it is the work of Musescore to choose the destination of "explode" ?
See:
https://musescore.org/en/handbook/tools#explode
So, for example, it states:
"If the passage is all in voice 1, the top note of the chord is retained on the top staff, while the lower notes are moved to subsequent staves."
So... re-arrange the subsequent staves to accept the lower notes:

I am trying to arrange Circus Galop, and it is very hard to determine how many instruments I would need and also how to arrange them.

Choice of instruments is totally up to you, but when you add them you should add them in traditional score order, which is from highest to lowest. So, if you want the flutes to get higher notes than the cellos, be sure to put their staves first.

thank you for all your help, but I think my idea may be a little too hard to do at the moment.
