why cant i get any notes to play in musescore from my midi keyboard
Can't get my midi keyboard to work when turning on musescore. No notes register on my new project
sheet for keyboard. I am a new user. Help!

We need some info about your setup and what you've tried so far.
Have you followed the instructions in the manual? Note input Midi keyboard.

Also, in your text attachment, you mention MIDI cables. Do that mean you use a MIDI-to-USB interface?
Be careful of the correct connector orientation:
MIDI in to MIDI out
MIDI out to MIDI in
Do you get sound when not using a MIDI keyboard - when entering notes normally (mouse or computer keyboard) in note input mode? Or playing an existing score?
