If one of the apps can send MIDI output - I'd guess GarageBand can, probably others - then this should work. You'd just need to connect the iPad before starting MuseScore then be sure it is selected as a MIDI input device in Edit / Preferences / I/O. That assumes the iPad identifies itself as a MIDI device, I can't be sure it would.
