The program won't stop crashing for me
When I try to save a score, it immediately crashes. otherwise, if i leave it on for about a minute, it crashes on its own.

Better provide more information. Which version of MuseScore, which operating system?
Have you already tried https://musescore.org/en/handbook/revert-factory-settings ?

Try toggling the "ui/application/useNativeDialogs" option in Edit / Preferences / Advanced and see if that helps.
Likely the score has a corruption in one of the parts, remove and regenerate them or attach the score here
