Unable to get started
When attempting to start a new score the operational buttons that should be along the bottom of the window are absent, meaning I cannot progress beyond the step for adding instruments to a stave. Can anyone explain please why this should be and offer a solution? I used older versions without any difficulties for years; this incarnation is, for me, totally unuseable.

Which buttons, which screen? Do you mean the wizard that appear when you select File / New? Is it too big for your monitor? Can you post a screen shot?
Note this dialog like just about all is completely keyboard-controllable, so it's usable even if you can't see the buttons. Enter and Esc perform their usual functions.
