  1. Install latest nightly build;
  2. Select Dark Theme in preferences;
  3. Open any palette;
  4. Palette icons appear black on very dark grey, making them virtually impossible to discern.

Latest nightly 3.x build? If so I can't reproduce.
I can though with the latest development builds from master, so I'm pretty sure you mean those.

Dark mode in master is known to be pretty broken currently
