"pedal" function not managing "new line"

Just add a "pedal" item to any note on a given line and try to extend it to a note on the following line.
The graphical result is that it keeps on staying on the same line while going on the adjacent MuS page, see attached picture.

Don't drag the end handle, Shift-right it. If that solves it, this is by design

Following the instructions "strictly exactly" as specified in the above link, it does work.

The alternative way I've tested and it works is to click on the first note then + on the last note where the pedal should go, then click on the pedal function.
Indeed the other correct and documeted way
