Impossible to edit preferences due to window not being able to be resized
I'm trying to disable the function to play back chord symbols, but I can't save the preferences because the window appears to be too long to fit on the screen (or maybe something else is wrong, but that appears to be the most likely option). Once the window is open, it bugs out trying to be resized and instead just jumps off the bottom of the screen when I try to shrink it so the save edits button is on screen. Once the entire window is off screen, it is impossible to do anything on the score, and because there is a secondary window still open, it is impossible to close MuseScore altogether without pressing CTRL+ALT+DEL and force-closing the entire program. This is particularly problematic as I am working on a project with chord symbols, and the playback makes it difficult to hear what I actually wrote
This issue did not exist on any prior versions of MuseScore

It sounds like your monitor is not being correctly detected by MuseScore. You will need to use the command line option -D ### where ### is the DPI you want to set. See https://musescore.org/en/handbook/command-line-options for more info on command line options and note that they are case sensitive.
See #306644: Preferences window doesn't match on a 15'' Laptop screen and height isn't resizeable
In any case, Preferences does not currently have anything to do with playback of chord symbols. To disable them, select one and uncheck Play in the Inspector, then hit the "Set as style" button ("S" icon).
Oh, I missed the part about chord symbol playback, for that see https://musescore.org/en/faq#faq-308797
I am having the same issue with the size of the Edit Preferences page. When Muse Score 3 was first installed, it was fine, but each time an update is installed, the page is too large for the screen, and the bottom corners are not visible so that I can reduce the size.
