I don't know about the height of grace notes, but slurs does not recognize them.

Yes, it's been reported before - see #299428: Slurs collide with grace notes. Unfortunately our current layout algorithms don't allow for this to be detected, but it's definitely something we may wish to look at for MuseScore 4.
