The dynamics don't work, they never change the sound of the note no matter what I do to them.

score got laste saved with 3.5.0, so I assume that is the 'culprit' version

Seems iit is the compined "hairpin+dynamics" that isn't working, try the attached

It's debatable whether this feature should really even exist anymore - it was implemented as a kind of hack before autoplace knew how to treat hairpins and dynamics separately. So we should consider removing this element from the palette to avoid confusion, and also changing the behavior of drag & drop when dropping a dynamic onto a hairpin to actually add it to the end note.

But, if the feature is to remain as is, we should figure out a way to interpret the dynamic text. Of course, it's not a real dynamic so it doesn't have velocity info associated it. Maybe the way to do this, then, is to actually set the velocity change on the hairpin itself at the moment we drop a new dynamic onto the hairpin. Still won't help the case of editing the text in the Inspector though.

Meanwhile, better to get in the habit of not using this particular combined palette symbol. Just add the dynamics and hairpin separately, and all works as expected, plus the layout is more flexible.
