Good day.

I started my Musescore, and saw there was a new version (3.5.5). Installed it, and composed a jaunty tune. But - no play back!

This is a Windows system, presumably up-to-date.

Searched the achieves, found many references. I tried:

  • restart tool
  • Revert to factory defaults
  • Suggestion in https://musescore.org/en/node/96811 Including
    • replacement sound font
    • tried to update all audio related drivers
  • Possible clue - Musecore does not show up in sound mixer
  • Resent issue - someone had success back-reving to version in window store (3.3.4).

Any lots of other stuff I forget. So far, not success.

One post walked away and tried it hours later, with success. I've not tried that yet...

Sorry to hear you are having problems! Generally speaking, you can get better help in the Support forum, as there are far more more people there. As it is here, all we can do is ask you to help diagnose the problem from your end, since we can't be there. That's where the people on the forum may be able to help advise you.

Thanks for the responses. I awoke with the idea that I should restart, just for grins. Well, sure enough, all is well.

So, feel free to close this issue. But also suggest that the install request a restart when it is complete.
