When using octava bassa and I turn off numbers only, it shows 8va instead of 8vb.

Status active ⇒ by design

8va is an abbreviation for ottava not Octave below. You will see 8vb in some publications but is not actually correct. Change the begin text for the line to <sym>ottavaBassaVb</sym> and you will get 8vb.
