OS: Windows 10 (10.0), Arch.: x86_64, MuseScore version (64-bit): 3.5.1.293615790, revision: 12ab1d9
Open the attached score (created in 3.4.0) and immediately inspect "File > Score Properties… > MuseScore version".
Expected/Actual result: It reads 3.4.0
- Click away from the program onto your browser and read the MS forum for a few minutes, for example.
- Now return to MuseScore and Inspect the "Score Properties" again.
Expected result: It should still read "3.4.0."
Actual result: It now reads "3.5.1."

I can't reproduce, not with the 3.5.1 PortableApp at least.
This does happen though after 2 minutes, at autosave, and has been that way since long (so I can reproduce).
And give the reason (autosave) this seems unavoidable, as at that point it has been saved, technically
BTW: your version is not the released 3.5.1 (but see #311516: False or old link when downloading the latest version 3.5.1)
I think...
