Looking for percussion soundfont

• Oct 15, 2020 - 19:15

I'm trying to transcribe this piece of music that uses brushes on a drumset in a jazz context but the current musescore general sounds TERRIBLE and just doesn't sound how I want it to. I want a sound that can sound like this song here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-AL6YpjhcUo&ab_channel=GarethCoker-Topic. I have an understanding of what the drumset is doing but the sound in musescore can't properly replicate what its playing. Is there a soundfont for this?

I think maybe you need a good General Midi SoundFont. I have recently finished polishing up a GM SoundFont that might do the trick. It has multi-velocity layered pianos, basses and other instruments and an array of drums,

Downloadable for free from my site (scroll down to the General Midi section - I suggest the 528mb soundfont for the best sound).

I have the same problem. But I never got drums with brushes to sound anywhere near decent. Not even with better equipment like a Roland MS-64 sound module. Does anyone have tips for this?
