Score exported in musicxml format triggers an error when importing the file back in Musescore

I tried to export and reimport a score in musixml format without doing any modification to the file.
I get the following error message (here translated from French):

"The file xxx is not a valid MusixXML file
Do you want to try to open this file anyway?"

The details window shows:
"Fatal error: line 4040 column 24 Direction-type element has no child element"

Except for some impact on the layout, probably normal when exporting/importing in such format, I did not spot obvious issues with the reimported contents, but I though you had like to know.
