Triplet conversion

Is there any way to convert some existing notes into a tuplet? When I've imported from a pdf it has failed to recognise the quaver triplets and has imported them as straighforward quavers. I've tried everything I can think of but the only way I've found is to delete the notes and re-enter them. Is there any way to select the 3 quavers and have them turned into triplets?
