Note heads not printing on Mac after upgrading to Big Sur
Updated my Mac to Big Sur yesterday. Now, I cannot print any music to my Canon laser printer as the note heads are missing. I am able to print with my Windows computer. I also tried exporting to PDF and then printing. The exported PDF looks fine, but still when the PDF is printed, the note heads do not print. I suspect is could also be a driver problem with printer since upgrade to Big Sur.

As the Pdf is exported correctly, I think the problem is the combination of Big Sur and the printer driver. You could double-check that you have the latest version of the driver. Or maybe Canon still needs to update their drivers, or it's a bug in macOS.
Is it literally just notehwads, or are clefs and other musical symbols missing too? I’m guessing somehow it isn’t seeing the music fonts.
Could you share a page of the PDF with us?
You can also send it to info.tantacrul@gmail.com, if you'd prefer not display it publicly. I just want to try print it myself.
Thanks everyone. I am sure it is the Canon print driver on Big Sur. I will have to update it. Everything prints well to PDF and also prints well from my Windows 10 computer. It also printed well from my Mac until today after I upgraded to Big Sur. So, I am sure this is a print driver issue.

I have problems with printing PDF - but PNG files print just fine - is it then a driver problem? or a Big Sur problem? I think it is a OS problem

Have you tried to export as PDF and then print?
Are other PDFs printed correctly?

There are two ways to create a PDF, one is to Export and choose PDF as the format, the other is to print and choose PDF as the destination. I suspect export doesn't work and print to PDF does. Could you confirm this?
