Have Not Even Been Able To Download The Application.

Hello,

I can't remember ever having such difficulty when simply trying to download a software application from the internet. I was very excited when, I quite by accident stumbled across the MuseScore website. I was not looking for any kind of music transcription software. I was just looking for the sheet music to "Home On Range."

However, my excitement has been all but replaced by mounting frustration. I have been attempting to download this application from the MuseScore.com website for two days now. I am a Pro user, my email address has been verified, and I have been signed into my account for every download attempt. I have tried using Chrome, Firefox, and Edge. I have cleared my cache and cookies. I have changed every setting I can think of to change. I have clicked on the direct link option on the download page. With every download attempt I have made, the file begins to download, then a few minutes later it stops, giving me an error message like, "Failed - Network Error" or "Couldn't download - Network Issue."

I will very much appreciate any suggestions anyone might have, and I will be very grateful for any help anyone can offer me.

I'm guessing you are using some version of Windows from your description. Do you have a firewall that you need to give permission for the download? Perhaps windows defender needs to be given permission for the download. Hundreds of thousands of people have downloaded the program with no problems, so we need to find out why your computer doesn't like it.

Have you seen that the MuseScore program which is the full and free editor for Windows/macos/linux is managed on MuseScore.org and can be downloaded from this site = .org and NOT .com
On .com you can buy the MuseScore reader (not a full editor version) for Android and iPhone. There there is a paid version and a pro access, but nothing of that for the full MuseScore editor program for Windows that is found here (.org) and is free.
I'm specifying all that because you are saying being a pro member with a verified email, but you must know that that has absolutely no link at all with the download of the MuseScore full program on .org.
