Musescore suddenly stops playing any scores.

Steps to reproduce:

1) Run MuseScore's latest version.

2) Try to play any score, new, old, or just create one on the fly.

3) nothing else happens.

4) Re-installing did not solve the problem. Rebooting did not solve the problem.

I cut a video of the issue but the system wouldn't allow me to upload it even though it's only 12MB big.
