1Create a new document on MuseScore 2.2.1 Revision 51b8386 API level 206 with the following properties:

-Title, Subtitle, Composer, Lyricist and Copyright: Empty
-Custom Templates: Reunion
-Key signature:Nothing
-Tempo:125 BPM
-Time Signature 4/4
-No Anacrusis
-Number of Bars:32

2.Click on the Finish button

3.Add notes so making your melody

4.Apply Staccato to some of your notes

5.When you play, it will reproduces it like normal notes

However, if you use the template of when you Start your MuseScore (My first Score), it plays the Staccato like normal

Actially not, 2.2.1 is stoneage, last 2.x is 2.3.2 and won't receive furter updates, 3.x is at 3.5.2, so you'd need to reproduce the issue there
