entering edit mode nonstop when wirting notes

my mouse is working great usually but in musescore it like the mouse is broken, 2 in every 3 clicks is misunderstood by the program as a double click and it enters edit mode. it really frustrating to click on every note 3 times so I can edit him.is there any way to cacael this shortcut into editmode or even to cancel edit mode completely?
