Why is it a feature request?
I can't speak for lasconic, but to me, if you don't want drum notes moved, don't include them in the selection. So it seems you are getting soem version of what you asked for. The "feature" you are thus requesting is, a new "do what I mean, not what I say" mode. After all, if you select an individual drum note and use the arrow key, you expect *that* to work, don't you? At what point do you expect this to *stop* working?
Who is going to actually want the actual result though? Are they actually moved an octave?
The concept of octaves doesn't apply to non-pitched content.
True, but it's a slippery slope here. Like I said, steps need to work, so selecting all and hitting up arrow should affect drums. Does it really make sense to add a feature to make octaves work differently? Actually, I can see a good use for it the way it is: getting to a point in the MIDI spectrum that is far from where you start, you could do by hitting octave up a few times to get in the ballpark, then arrow from there. As opposed to needing to hit the arrow, say, 37 times to get from MIDI pitch 40 to MIDI pitch 77.
Not saying it couldn't or even shouldn't be done, but it's actually more consistent and quite useful as is. And like I said, if you don't wnat the drums changed, why select them?
