Adding Notes when "Partitur automatisch nachfüllen" is activated

• Jan 3, 2021 - 14:42

Hi ;)

i observe a strange behavior, when the "Partitur automatisch nachfüllen"-Option (see picture) is activated: sometimes when i manualy add a note, there will be just added a pause in the length of the note. often i must add the note two or three times.
the problem disappears when i uncheck the Button and scroll manualy for the next bar.

maybe a bug? or some solveable problem?

(MacOS Catalina and MuseScore 3: all updates)

after further checking it seems either my mouse had a disfunction or my finger did sometimes hit the right button instead of the left: and i did not realised until now that the right button sets pauses... problem seems to be solved ;)

i don't know, i did never worked on Windows with MuseScore.
but i updated just recently to the newest version and there are some changes, i think the right-button-pause is one of them i did not realised earlier. but it is a nice feature, not a bug! strange, that i discover it per chance ;)

Never noticed that, nice feature!

Added to the handbook now (https://musescore.org/en/handbook/note-input#enter-pitch):

  • To enter a note pitch from A–G, simply press the corresponding letter on your computer keyboard or place it using your mouse/touchpad (and a 'normal' left-click).
  • To enter a rest, press 0 (zero) or right-click your mouse.

It was in the handbook already, under https://musescore.org/en/handbook/note-input#mouse:

  1. To add a rest, right-click.

Too well hidden for me apparently ;-)
It's been there since June 2019 even...
