MuseScore on my work computer keeps seizing up "not responding". Could it be due to my university's over-zealous firewall?
I recently was given a new Windows computer at work. Instead of being able to download MuseScore myself like I originally did, I had to get admin permission. Now that I'm trying to get back to work, every time I input 8 or so bars of music, the programs freezes and goes to 'not responding'. I'm wondering if this could have anything to do with the new security regime of the university. Or am I likely to have some other problem?

Unless it freezes in startup, or on opening the start center, or on Save online, there shouldn't be any influence by a firewall

OK, thanks.
Meaning, it's probably a corruption of some kind within the score you are working on, If you attach it here, we can take a look.

I haven't managed to save it, but I did complete one successfully yesterday afternoon. Does deleting a title have any bearing on these matters? Maybe it was just the computer struggling in the heat.

If the computer was struggling, which it sounds like might be the case, it would be because there are insufficient resources (memory) for the operating system to run the program well.

OK, that's interesting since it is a new computer than I haven't had time to fill up with junk! Can you give me a number, and I'll discuss it with my ICT department?

If it's a new computer then that's probably not the case.
