Ambitus reflects old instrument.
I changed a Soprano line to be 1st Violin, and realise that the usable range is vastly different. When I add an ambitus to the score it does not reflect the change - it shows the old Soprano range.

An ambitus shows the min. and max. pitches really used in a staff, not its theoretical usable range.
Also you'd need to refresh it if you added notes outside its range, it doesn't do this automatically
