Measure Number Offset Value Changes Everytime Opening the File

• Jan 18, 2021 - 20:47

I'm not sure if this one helps. Let me explain directly to you. This is how I did the test:
1. Create a new score (doesn't matter whether using templates or choose instrument).
2. Select a measure number text and modify its offset value (either X or Y or both). In my case, I changed both X and Y to 5sp.
3. Save the file.
4. Reopen the file. Check the measure number offset value we've modified in Step 2. In my case, both X and Y changed to 2.86sp, which should not happen in normal situations.

Testing environment:
OS: Windows 10 (10.0), Arch.: x86_64, MuseScore version (64-bit):, revision: 269baf7

I'm not sure whether it happened in previous versions. I did not remember there was such a problem. I would be very thankful if someone would help to test in previous versions.

I attatched a GIF to show the problem in case that the text explaining is not clear enough.
I also uploaded my test file. I've modified the offset of the measure number at Measure 18 to 5sp in both X and Y value before saving the file. After opening the file, you will see the offset has changed to 2.86sp.
By the way, if you do not change anything, just save the file, and reopen it again, the value of the offset may be changed to 1.63sp, which should not happen in normal situations.

Many thanks to the developers! You've really made MuseScore a fantastic software.

Confirmed indeed. Please submit this as a bug to the issue tracker, severity "major". I assume it relates to the change to make measure numbers not scale with staff size anymore.
