Selecting either 'mordent' or 'inverted mordent' from the Ornaments palette appears to draw the same graphic in each case (i.e. an inverted mordent). It also appears to play the same 'turn' i.e. there appears to be no difference between attempting to insert a mordent or an inverted mordent from the palette.
Many thanks!

Revert to factory settings, those glyphs changed their names and meaning, Inverted Mordent became Mordent and Mordent became Short Trill in SMuFL 1.3, your palette doesn't seem to reflect that afre the last update.

Thank you so much for such a quick reply. I've done as you suggested and this has sorted things. Apologies - I thought this was an issue with having recently updated my Musescore to version 3.6.0.487915773. Regards!
No problem, thanks for bringing it up, gives the extra change of documenting this ;-)
