Musescore 3.6 Consistently Crashing when opening

I recently downloaded and installed Musescore 3.6 after already having the previous version installed. After the set-up wizard installed the program I was forced to restart my computer. After restarting, every time I click on the program's shortcut on my desktop or taskbar the program opens for a few seconds, then immediately crashes. I am unable to interact with the program while it is open and it consistently crashes every time I open it in this manner. However, I am able to access and fully utilize the program if I open a .mscz file from my scores
