converting voice2 to voice1

I asked about this quite a while ago, saved responses, but don't seem to be able to use them or make them work. Will try to describe & attach a file. First, all of the black notes fill out time count/duration of measure just fine, but some are in voice 1 and some in voice 2. Of course each voice is filled with rests so each voice time counts are fine. Prob is I can't change voice2 notes to be in voice1 cuz those "time slots" are filled w rests. Works fine for a measure where all notes are voice2 (meas 3 attachment) , but not mixed measures (meas 2).

Is there a simple solution? BTW, am still on ver 2.0.2. Yes I know, I have to upgrade. Am waiting til I get around to buying a new PC.

I just figured out that I can convert voice2 notes to voice1 IF I do them one note at a time and then delete to voice2 rests one at a time - oh well - it works.

Options will be a bit limited on such an older version, but some of this may work:

  • select all from top staff (e.g., click first note, then Ctrl+Shift+End) then use Implode (currently under Tools, it used to be under Edit / Tools)

or

  • select all from top staff, click Notes in Inspector, then click voice one on toolbar

Then to delete voice 2 rests, right-click one, Select / More / Same voice, then Delete.
