Removing rests
Hi, Can anyone advise me please, how to remove the original semibreve rest from a score? I list below an example. Also, how can one achieve the spacing shown in the graphic below? Any advice will be much appreciated.

Yes, Jojo, it is an image from Musescore but I did not produce it, because I don't know how. It's the rest that prevents me from installing the notes as I would like (as in the graphic) and it only allows me to insert four notes. Wil the pressing of "V" solve that problem?

If it is from MuseScore, you have a score that is having it right already
V will solve the 1st issue, insert mode the 2nd, there rests don't com into play at all

The rest has nothing to do with it, it represents silence and like silence it goes away as you fill the measure with notes / sound. So you don't need to do anything special regarding the rest. What you need is to tell MuseScore you want lots more beats in the measure than the time signature calls for. If you know exactly how many, right-click the measure, Measure Properties, and set the "Actual duration" accordingly. If you don't want to bother counting - and I wouldn't if I were you - it may be easier to just enter the notes normally into multiple measures then use Tools / Measures / Join Selected Measures to combine them into one.
Either way, you don't need to make any rests invisible, that's a waste of time as the rests will disappear when you enter notes anyhow.
